The
band, Fly, was established in Chiang Mai, entertaining the
town for years before moving down to Bangkok. After flying
around this sleepless city for a while, the band decided to
float itself up by presenting its demo tape to Grammy. Of
course, no one could turn his eyes away from such a talented
group. Their first album, “12 Peek (12 Wings)”,
in 1996 did turn Thai rock music realm up side down. The band’s
unique and amazing music, singing style, image, as well as,
fashion did twist a new page of the history. When it comes
to the back of the scene, Fly has the ability to compose the
rhythms for most of their songs, making dozens of hits again
and again. Though they are a rock group, Fly has always adapted
some Thai proverbs to use in their music, such as “Bua
Cham Nam Khun (Cut To The Chest)” and “Chaona
Gub Ngoohao (A Farmer and A Cobra)”. Moreover, they
also like to reflect the sad-but-true truth of Thai society
through their songs, especially in the latest album “Fly
Man”
